Description
Despite their marketing, drop-in lithium batteries cannot replace your current lead acid battery bank without carefully considering the rest of your electrical system. Get it done right the first time to avoid costly repairs often caused by incorrect installations or partial refits.
We will begin by surveying the current battery bank and its connections, your typical amp-hour usage per day, and your existing charging capacity. We will recommend LiFePO4 batteries based on your needs and storage location. We select from reputable brands recognized by the ABYC with the proper UL ratings for marine applications.
Next, we will outline any changes necessary to the battery box and charging system. We will recommend new chargers and alternator regulators as required. The design will include essential switches, fuses, and protections for keeping sensitive equipment like your alternator and navigation gear safe from voltage spikes.
The following deliverables will be included in this package:
- A Scope of work, a written document outlining the specific details of the new battery bank and its operation and charging needs.
- Design Diagrams in CAD conforming to industry standards depicting the new battery bank connections in plan in a layout view with dimensions, fuses, wire run lengths, and sizes.
- Equipment list with buy links for all new equipment necessary to complete the installation.
- Datasheets, IOM manuals, learning resources, and tools list to aid you in the installation and configuration of new equipment.
