If you are tearing out the wiring on your older boat or building a new one, we will design your new electrical system from the hull up.  Leverage our experience and expertise to save time and money while gaining peace of mind.

The electrical wiring is a core system aboard your vessel and must withstand the demands of the harsh marine environment.  There are many safety requirements to consider in both the design and installation of electrical equipment.  In addition, the system must be able to generate, store, and distribute the correct amount of power, which varies highly based on the type of vessel and its owner’s requirements.

If you choose our package deal, we will start the design process with a consultation to discuss the type of boat you have, your power requirements, existing equipment, and new equipment you wish to power.  We will also guide you through equipment selection to ensure the highest quality outcome.

We will design the entire electrical system, i.e., we will complete all eight service groups.  In addition to our design consultation time, you will receive the following deliverables:

  • A detailed scope of work (SOW) for each service group (8) outlines the specifics of each part of the electrical system.
  • A load calculation table (LCT) is a spreadsheet with intended power usage to aid in the design process.
  • Design drawings, diagrams, and as-builts (CAD), installation style wiring diagrams that conform to industry standards, and plan view layout drawings for wire sizing and placement of equipment and devices.
  • An Equipment list (EL) with buy links listing the major components and equipment included in the design.
  • A Bill of Materials (BOM); a complete list of everything necessary to complete the installation, right down to the zip ties, screws, and wire ties. We list quantities, pricing, and links to buy all materials so you will know exactly how much the project will cost.
  • Data sheets, installation, operations, and maintenance manuals (IOM) for selected equipment will be researched and referenced to ensure everything is installed per the manufacturer’s requirements.  These will be collated in a folder and made available to download as part of your project manual.
  • Learning materials & tools list
  • A ready-to-print Project Manual including all of the deliverables mentioned above as well as a system summary, which will serve as the new electrical IOM manual for your vessel.
